Hello everyone my name is Chen Yu Chiuan. You can call me Jason too. I’m seventeen. I am a high school student. I started to make plastic models when I was ten. I built gundam model the most. I went to a teacher to learn airbrushing when I made plastic models for two years. SPARMAX's air compressor is one of my tool for airbrushing. My favorite mobile suit in GUNDAM is zaku, so almost all of my work is zaku.
I’m for TAIWAN. I live with my mom, she support me to make plastic models the most. Except for making plastic models, I also like to collect action figures. This few years, I participated in many different plastic models competition. And I won many of them including 2022 SUPER MODEL CUP 3rd (junior group), 2023 RF TAIWAN MODELSHOW FREEDOM CUP 3rd (junior group), 2023 GUNPLA BUILDERS WAR CUP (GBWC) TW U20 2nd and 2024 TW MODELSHOW WEEI CUP 1st (junior group)+MXBON special reward, and also thanks to SPARMAX for giving me the 1st (junior group) in 2024 SPARMAX International Airbrush Competition, I will continue to work harder to make better works.

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, what is your background? When did you start airbrushing and what was the learning process like for you?
Hello everyone my Chinese name is Chen Yu Chiuan. You can call me Jason too. I am a high school student. I started to make plastic models when I was ten. After I made plastic models for two years, I went to a teacher to learn airbrushing.
2. Can you tell us a bit more about your winning entry piece? How / why did you choose it? How long did it take, and what inspired you?
I’ve been making this work for two months. My favorite mobile suit in GUNDAM is zaku, and I wanted to paint my zaku in camouflage so I made this work.
3. What challenges did you encounter during the creation of this piece? What is your favorite part of the work, and why? What airbrush techniques did you use in this creation?
The hardest part of this piece is the camouflage on the zaku, but this is also my favorite part in this piece. I use different caliber airbrush to paint the camouflage and the shadow.

4. What does airbrushing mean to you and what drives your passion for airbrushing and creating art? Also, how do you find the ideas for your other works?
I like to paint on my plastic models, and airbrush is the best tool to me. I find the ideas from different types of terrain like desert space or forest.
5. What are your goals / targets for airbrushing? What do you want to achieve?
I want to be the world champion in every plastic models competition.
6. Do you specialize or prefer to work on a specific surface?
I paint on plastic models.
7. How would you describe your style(s) in airbrushing?
My airbrushing styles is to have different levels of color in my work.
8. Any advice to beginners looking to start airbrushing? What would you tell your young self?
Practic more and find your own styles of airbrushing.
